What to Bring
- A valid photo ID
- Your dental insurance card (if applicable)
- A list of any current medications or supplements
- Any relevant dental records or X-rays from a previous provider, if available
- Your completed new patient forms (we recommend filling these out online before your visit to save time)
If you're bringing a child, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the first appointment.

What to Expect When You Arrive
Our front desk team will greet you by name within the first minute. From there, check-in is quick. If you haven't completed your new patient forms online, we'll get you set up when you arrive. We keep wait times short and will bring you back on schedule.
If you're feeling nervous, tell us. Our team is trained to recognize dental anxiety and will adjust your experience accordingly from the start.

In the Chair
Every new patient receives a comprehensive exam that includes:
- A full intraoral scan
- High-resolution intraoral photographs
- Digital X-rays
- An oral cancer screening
- AI-assisted X-ray analysis to clearly identify any areas of concern
We don't just tell you what we find. We show you. The intraoral camera and visualization tools allow you to see exactly what Dr. Cho sees, so nothing gets lost in translation. Patients who come in skeptical about a diagnosis often change their mind the moment they see the images.

Meeting Dr. Cho
Dr. Cho's first priority is getting to know you, not moving through a checklist. He will ask about your dental history, any concerns you have, and what brought you in. If you've had a difficult experience at a dental office in the past, he wants to hear about it.
For patients with moderate to high dental anxiety, the first visit is reserved entirely for conversation and examination. No treatment is performed. Dr. Cho gets to eye level, listens carefully, and makes one thing clear before anything else: you are in control. You can stop at any point, for any reason, and no one here will push you further than you're ready to go.

Your Treatment Plan
After the exam, Dr. Cho will walk you through his findings and present a recommended treatment plan. He starts with the best clinical option and explains it clearly before moving on. If cost, timing, or personal preference require a different approach, he will present alternatives honestly, including what each option involves and how it compares.
You will never feel pressured into a decision. Treatment planning at New Life Dental is a conversation, and you set the pace. If financing is a consideration, our team will walk you through available options at this stage.

Check-Out and Next Steps
Before you leave, our team will:
- Schedule any recommended follow-up appointments
- Provide a clear summary of your treatment plan and associated costs
- File a claim with your insurance provider if applicable
- Answer any remaining questions about your care, costs, or next steps
You will leave knowing exactly where you stand and what comes next. No vague recommendations, no unanswered questions, no surprises.
